The trunk line network traffic will start on 1 July 2025

Updated bus network with added trunk lines will bring Föli into a new era 1 July 2025. With the update, the entire bus network within Turku will be renewed, both the routes and the numbers of the lines.

The new trunk lines will create a denser network in the Föli area, making traffic clearer, improving availability and increasing Föli's total traffic volume by around 20%.

In addition to direct connections, the more frequent service intervals and the new ring line (10/10A) will improve the variety of routes and transfers, also outside the Turku market square.

How will the change affect traffic in Naantali from 1 July?

Naantali is serviced by trunk line 6. The new ring line (10/10A) will diversify public transport connections to the whole Föli area!

Trunk line 6 follows the familiar route of the old 6 line from Naantali via Raisio and Turku to Lieto. The current line 7 will be renumbered 6A (Kaarina - Turku - Raisio - Naantali). Trunk line 6/6A will run night services on Fri-Sat and Sat-Sun nights. In addition, connections to other lines will be improved.

The new ring line (10/10A) will diversify connections to the whole Föli area. Coming from Naantali, the nearest connection point to the 10A line is in the centre of Raisio. See the map for the interchange stops.  (Opens in a new tab)
The nearest interchange for the 10 line is at Länsikeskus. See the map for the interchange stops. (Opens in a new tab)

The ring trunk line around Turku will intersect with all trunk lines and will significantly improve interchange facilities and public transport accessibility throughout the region. In addition, the 10 will provide direct access to places such as the Impivaara sports facilities and the Port of Turku. The 10A provides access to places such as Skanssi or the shopping centres of Raisio. Both also run to Kupittaa station and Tyks T-hospital.

The N-lines of Naantali's internal transport will continue to operate as before, with familiar routes and numbers.
