How do I rent a Föli bike?

You can rent a Föli bike using the Donkey Republic app.

Here is how to rent a bike for the first time:
1. Install the Donkey Republic app on your phone and register. The app is available from the App Store and Google Play Store.
2. Go to "profile" and add your payment info. After that you can choose a membership (Föli's season ticket, season or montly payment), or open the map where you'll be able to pay with one time payment.
3. Open the map and find the rental location closest to you and press ‘continue’.
4. If this is your first time renting through the system, you will need to enter your user information, including your phone number and payment card details. You must enter the international country code before your telephone number. The country code for Finland is +358. The system will send you a telephone confirmation code.
5. The screen will display a summary of bike rental prices. Scroll the image sideways to view the entire price list.
6. To continue, click on the ‘rent’ button. Make sure your phone's bluetooth connection is turned on
7. If you have already added your user information on the app but are not logged in, sign in now.
8. If you are renting more than one bike, now is the time to add your biking buddies’ email addresses on the app so they can activate and lock their bikes using their mobile phones.
9. Accept the terms and conditions and purchase optional theft insurance.
10. Locate the bike at a pick-up point and press the unlock button in the application.
11. Hop on the bike and have fun!

Note! If you have a Föli's season ticket with a season of at least 30 days loaded into it, you can use Föli bikes without a separate fee for one hour at a time. This can be done by first adding your payment info to the app and continuing by selecting the Föli season ticket as membership, entering the travel card number and your date of birth into the application. The system checks that you have the right to use the bikes and after that you can rent a bike. Unfortunately the Seutu+ or Tuplacard do not include the use of the Föli bikes.
