What are the route suggestions of the journey planner based on?

The journey planner takes the following into account in routing: departure and arrival times, real-time vehicle forecasts, walking distances at departure and destination, the number of bus changes, the waiting time for bus changes and the user’s settings, such as walking speed, means of transport and accessibility. The first suggestion is usually the best one according to the logic of the journey planner, given the constraints of user settings. The journey planner will then list other travel options below. Route suggestions may include further connections with several bus lines. If the route suggestions seem illogical, check or change the conditions of the journey: adjust the departure time or try the “Arrival time” setting instead. The best route is often a fairly subjective concept. The journey planner tries to account for many variables and suggest different alternatives based on the given parameters, and the user can choose the most suitable one for their needs.
