Water bus
In summer, Föli water buses run from Aura River to Ruissalo and Hirvensalo. The water buses operate daily from May 10 to August 31, 2025, and thereafter on three weekends in September, on Saturdays and Sundays: September 6–7, 13–14, and 20–21.

Water bus timetable 2025
The trips are paid for in the same way as for bus traffic: with a travel card, with contactless payment, single ticket or mobile ticket purchased through the Föli application.
The water bus service will be provided with two vessels, m/s Ruissalo and m/s Jaarli. Both vessels and all water bus stops are accessible.
The water bus runs from Martinsilta in the centre of Turku (Itäinen Rantakatu side) to Ruissalo. Along the way, the water bus stops at Forum Marinum as well as the Ruissalo shipyard or Pikisaari in Hirvensalo (Airisto Segelsällskap). The travel time from Martinsilta to the Folk Park is approximately 45 minutes.
It is not possible to guarantee that large groups can use the same departure or to book a trip in advance. Therefore, it is not necessary to notify Föli about any group travel.
Prices
The water buses are part of Föli’s transport services, and the same tickets are valid on both the water buses and other Föli transportation. You can use your travel card to pay for the water bus ride: the sum charged from your card matches that of a regular bus ride. Season tickets and travel cards allow for unlimited water bus travel. You can also buy a single ticket aboard the water bus.
On the water buses, you can purchase single tickets with contactless payment. The price is €3,15 for adults and €1.55 for children (cash payment: adults 4,50 €, children 2 €). Single tickets include the normal two-hour right of transfer to other Föli transportation. The only difference from the regular bus fares is that no extra fee is charged for bicycles on the water bus.
Pets are welcome on water buses.
Information for cyclists!
During peak hours, the maximum number of bicycles allowed on board is 10, 1 bicycle/person. Bicycles with trailers will only be taken on board if there is sufficient room. Cyclists must observe the crew’s instructions when boarding.
