Park-and-ride sites for cars

Park up your car and catch a bus with Föli! Park-and-ride arrangements provide the opportunity to leave your car parked safely and hop on a bus to continue your journey. 

Park-and-ride parking is free and intended for those using public transport for connections.

Turku

In Turku, five park-and-ride sites can be found in the parking areas of the following supermarkets:

  • K-Citymarket Länsikeskus
  • K-Supermarket Hirvensalo
  • Prisma Itäharju
  • Prisma Piispanristi
  • Prisma Tampereentie

Each parking area has four park-and-ride parking spaces, which are marked with park-and-ride -parking signs.

In Turku, park-and-ride parking will start on Monday 9 September 2024. In Turku, park-and-ride parking works by purchasing a mobile ticket from the Föli app, which gives you the right to park for 12 hours in a parking area reserved for parking.

The park-and-ride trial is part of the LEPPIS and Scale-Up projects and will continue until the end of March 2025.

This is how you activate park-and-ride in Turku

Park your car in the designated park-and-ride parking space and activate parking in the Föli app by clicking on "Account" and "park-and-ride". Enter your car's registration number in the field, activate the parking and buy a standard single ticket from the app's shop. You can also activate parking with a mobile season ticket.

When you get on the bus from a nearby bus stop and show your ticket to the Föli bus reader, your parking time will be activated and be valid for 12 hours. If you wish, you can stop parking earlier by pressing the "Stop parking" button in the "park-and-ride" section of the app.

Please note that park-and-ride parking is only activated at the stops indicated on the map and the mobile ticket is only valid for a predefined period of time. You may therefore need a new ticket for your return journey.
