Offering Föli's commuter ticket to your employees is affordable: costs can be deducted in taxation and no indirect salary costs are charged.  

A commuter ticket is a kind of salary increase

The commuter ticket is a personal benefit that is loaded to the Föli card. The benefit works on the same principle as, for example, lunch or sports benefits, but it does not include a pre-payment or transaction fees. The commuter ticket can be used as a means of payment in all Föli transport, i.e. buses and water buses, and its use is not restricted to travel between the workplace and home but the ticket can also be used during leisure time. Employees can top up their travel cards electronically at Fölikauppa.

For employers, the Föli commuter ticket is an excellent way to support their employees travelling in an easy and environmentally friendly way. An increasing number of employees value a responsible company that wants to play its part in mitigating climate change by encouraging its employees to use public transport. The benefit is a tax-free fringe benefit for the employee until EUR 3,400 if the employer offers the benefit on top of the salary.

A commuter ticket is a salary increase that is cost-effective for the employer, as it does not cause the employer or the employee any additional costs. Since the Föli commuter ticket is a fringe benefit, it is not mandatory to offer it on the same terms to all employees; for example, employees with parking spaces can be excluded. A commuter ticket is usually cheaper than a car benefit or a parking spot. A season card for 30 days with Föli costs 55 euros. The cheapest season card is the card for 365 days, in which case the price is EUR 535. The employer can pay for the employee's travel card either partly or in full.
