Can I purchase a Föli card for my child? Or my spouse?
You can purchase a card on behalf of a child under the age of 18. The child’s personal identity code will be needed to create the card, so it is a good idea to bring the Kela card, for example. You can only purchase a card on behalf of an adult person with authorisation. The authorisation does not need to be a formal document. It must indicate the card recipient’s full name, personal identity code and consent to verifying address information from the Population Register. It must also list the authorised person’s full name and personal identity code. The authorisation must also indicate its validity period, and it must be signed.
