Föli's fleet will be renewed from 1.7.2025
Updated bus network with added trunk lines will bring Föli into a new era 1 July 2025. With the update, the entire bus network within Turku will be renewed, both the routes and the numbers of the lines.
The new trunk lines will create a denser network in the Föli area, making traffic clearer, improving availability and increasing Föli's total traffic volume by around 20%.
In addition to direct connections, the more frequent service intervals and the new ring line (10/10A) will improve the variety of routes and transfers, also outside the Turku market square.
How will the change affect traffic in Kaarina from 1 July?
The current Kaarina line 7 will be renumbered 6A, and will run the familiar route from the centre of Kaarina via Turku to Raisio to Naantali.
The new ring line (10/10A) will diversify connections throughout the Föli area. Trunk line 6A from Kaarina will intersect with the ring trunk line at Eteläkaari, where you can change buses at the Skanssinmäki or Pyhän ristin kappeli -stops. See map of interchange stops. (Opens in a new tab)
The circle line around Turku will intersect with all other trunk lines and will significantly improve interchange possibilities and public transport accessibility throughout the region. The ring line also provides direct access to places such as Skanssi, Kupittaa station, TYKS T-hospital, Turku harbour (10) or Raisio shopping centres (10A).
Other interchanges from 6A to other trunk lines can be found at Tuomiokirkkotori (2, 3, 3A), Kivikartiontie (4) and Market Square (all except 10/10A).
From the 6A to the new, handy 39 line (Ylioppilaskylä - Uittamo), you can change at Kupittaa stop Uudenmaantulli. 39 is useful for example when going to Kupittaa station or to TYKS.
Another particularly useful line is the 600 (Littoinen-Itäharju), which offers a direct connection to Skanssi and intersects with trunk line 2 in Kohmo and trunk lines 3, 3A and 4 in Varissuo Itäkeskus.
The K lines for internal transport in Karina will continue to operate as before, with familiar routes and numbers.
