Föli transport in Kaarina

Föli offers easy and smooth public transport in up to seven municipalities: in Turku, Kaarina, Raisio, Liedo, Naantali, Rusko and Paimio. The same fare is valid for the whole area - so you can reach the whole region with one ticket!

Föli's K lines within Kaarina serve everyone in the city. That means schoolchildren, commuters, seniors - and all other travellers.

Kaarina´s internal K-lines

Line K1 Auranlaakso-Littoinen-Oskarinaukio

On weekdays, the K1 Auranlaakso-Littoinen-Oskarinaukio line runs at half-hour intervals. On Saturdays, the service runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Lines K2 and K3 Kaarina city centre area

Lines K2 and K3 follow an octagonal route around the centre of Kaarina, with K2 always running clockwise and K3 counter-clockwise. A total of two minibuses run between the lines, so that the lines meet every half hour in the centre of Kaarina.

The K2 and K3 lines operate on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Saturdays, the lines run between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Line K4 Piikkiö School-Harvaluoto-Kirismäki

Bus K4 operates in the Piikkiö area on school days, transporting students from Harvaluoto and Kirismäki to Piikkiö School during school start and end times.

The bus is open to all and also runs on demand (Opens in a new tab)in the middle of the day.

Line K6 Toivonlinna - Piikkiö - Varissuo

Line K6 will continue as the Toivonlinna line, serving schoolchildren travelling to both Piikkiö and Toivonlinna. The other end of the line will continue from Piikkiö to Varissuo, meeting the demand for a connection from Littoinen to Varissuo. The K6 operates on weekdays from 6 am to 8 pm, but the Piikkiö-Toivolinna service ends at around 5 pm. During the day, the K6 runs in Piikkiö as on demand service for the K5.

On demand traffic in Kaarina

On school days, the on demand bus runs in the Piikkiö area from 9.45-11.10 and 11.30-12.10, on other weekdays from 10.30-11.10.The route of the on demand bus is not fixed, but is formed according to the needs of the passengers!

Order the bus the day before during the bus's operating time, or at the latest during the same day, when the bus is already running. Tell the driver your destination and agree on a timetable. The journey is paid as for other Föli services.

Convenient transfer connections in Turku

The ring line (10/10A) improves connections throughout the entire Föli area. Trunk line 6A from Kaarina intersects with the ring line at Eteläkaari, where you can change buses at the Skanssinmäki or Pyhän ristin kappeli -stops.

The ring line, which circles Turku, intersects with all trunk lines in Turku, significantly improving transfer opportunities and the overall accessibility of public transport across the region. It also provides direct connections to destinations such as Skanssi, Kupittaa railway station, the T Hospital at Turku University Hospital (TYKS), the Port of Turku (10), and the shopping areas in Raisio (10A).

Other transfer points from 6A to the other trunk lines are at Tuomiokirkkotori (2, 3, 3A), Kivikartiontie (4), and Market Square (all trunk lines except 10/10A).

From line 6A, you can also transfer to the new and convenient route 39 (Student Village–Uittamo) at Uudenmaantulli in Kupittaa. Route 39 is particularly useful when travelling to Kupittaa railway station or Turku University Hospital.

Another particularly useful route for residents of Kaarina is route 600 (Littoinen–Itäharju). It offers a direct connection to destinations such as Skanssi and intersects with trunk line 2 at Kohmo and trunk lines 3, 3A and 4 at Itäkeskus.
