Go on a trip with the new trunk lines

The route reform and new, frequently operated trunk lines brought Föli into a new era on July 1, 2025. The route reform brought with it many new routes and route options. The trunk lines allow you to explore the city and its sights. This text describes various destinations that you can easily reach with Föli. 

Line 2 takes you to Kylämäki Village in Kurala

At Kylämäki Village, you can visit an authentic 1950s rural village, where you can observe farm chores and animals going about their day. 

Admission to Kylämäki Village is free. The outdoor area is open all year round. The museum buildings are open during the summer season and special events. Various courses and workshops are also held there for an additional fee. 

You can get there by buses 2 and 42. The nearest stop is Kylämäki 1659. 

Turku Castle on trunk line 1

Turku Castle is one of the city's most famous attractions. The castle was founded in the 13th century and has been used as a museum since the 19th century. Turku Castle is visited by thousands of people every year and is the most popular tourist destination in Southwest Finland.  

There is an admission fee to the castle: Adults 16€, children aged 7–15 7€, reduced admission 8€.  

The castle is located near the Port of Turku and can be reached by bus lines 1 and 1A and ring bus line 10. The nearest stop is Turun linna 54. "

Line 4 takes you to the Chapel of the Resurrection

The Chapel of the Resurrection can be described as a total work of art, in which the lighting fixtures, candlesticks, and all other details share the same design language. The chapel is a must-see for architecture enthusiasts.  

Designed by architect Erik Bryggman, the Resurrection Chapel in Turku Cemetery captivates visitors with its atmosphere. In keeping with Bryggman's style, nature plays a central role in the chapel, and the large hall's uniform glass wall opens up a view of a pine forest. The Resurrection Chapel consists of a chapel hall, a wing with rooms for relatives and office space, and a mortuary, which is separated from the chapel by an open gateway.  

The nearest stop is Uusi hautausmaa 691, which you can easily reach by taking trunk line 4. 

To the Uittamo bunkers with trunk line 9

An anti-aircraft battery was built in Uittamo during the Winter War, which was completed just five days after the end of the war. The bunkers offer great views over the city. Today, the bunkers are covered in colorful graffiti.

You can reach the Uittamo bunkers by buses 9, 9A, 43, and 39. The nearest stops are Uittamo City 1215 and Rätiälänkatu 646.

The ring trunk line circles around the city center

The ring line (10/10A) makes transferring between trunk lines easy and expands route options. It doesn’t run through the city center but instead circles around it. 

With the ring trunk line, you can reach destinations like: 

Ispoinen Beach 

Located in Uittamo, Ispoisten beach is a popular sandy beach surrounded by cliffs during the summer. Winter swimmers can also take a dip in the water during the winter. The nearest stop is Ratsukonkatu 600. From the city center, take trunk line 9 to the Rusthollinkatu 601 stop.

Pomponrahka  

Pomponrahka is part of the national mire conservation program and is known for its rich butterfly fauna. In addition, more than a third of the 600 spider species found in Finland live in Pomponrahka. The nearest stop is Kiikku 1014.

Katariinanlaakso and Rauvolanlahti  

Katariinanlaakso is known for its groves of noble trees. It leads to Rauvolanlahti Bay, which is part of the bird sanctuary program and a popular destination for birdwatching. Rauvolanlahti Bay can also be reached from Kaarina via the Vaarniemi nature reserves. The nearest stops are Juhanankatu 1466 and Uittamo terminus 1704.

Mikkolanmäki  

On a high hill, there are bunkers that were used by anti-aircraft batteries during World War II. The dilapidated bunkers are decorated with rough graffiti. The nearest bus stops are Ahtolantie 692 and 1222.

Halistenkoski  

From Halistenkoski, it is easy to set off on a sandy path to admire the lush landscapes along the Aurajoki River. You can spend the day at Halistenkoski, even paddling – it is also a popular fishing spot. The nearest bus stop is Halistensilta 1411.

Virnamäki  

In Virnamäki, upstream from Halistenkoski, there is a nature trail and an Iron Age leafy ancient monument area. The most common type of ancient monument in the area is cup stones, which were used for sacrifices in ancient times. The nearest bus stop is Halistensilta 1411.
