To Luolavuori with trunkline 8 

The 25-hectare Luolavuori Nature Reserve features one of Finland’s most impressive caves, burial cairns made of stones from the Early Metal Age, and Ropovaha, a centuries-old boundary stone, marking the limits of the city of Turku. Luolavuori is easy to reach with buses 8 and 43. The nearest stop is Luolavuoren koulu 1721. 

Trunk line 8 takes you to the boulder field of Nunnavuori 

Nunnavuori is a rocky hill rising over 63 meters high between Runosmäki and Impivaara, offering beautiful views from the summit. Near the top, you’ll find a protected nature area covering nearly one hectare. It is home to the region's most significant ancient shoreline, known as a pirunpelto or devil’s field, formed during an ancient phase of the Baltic Sea. You can get there on buses 8 and 44. The nearest stop is Signalistinpolku 984. 

Discover Katariinanlaakso and Rauvolanlahti with lines 9 and 10 

Katariinanlaakso is known for its groves of noble deciduous trees. From there, you can continue to Rauvolanlahti, a protected wetland included in Finland’s bird habitat conservation program. Rauvolanlahti is a popular birdwatching destination and can also be accessed from the Vaarniemi nature reserves in Kaarina. Nearest stops: Juhanankatu 1466 (lines 10, 10A, 43) and Uittamon pääte 1704 (lines 9, 9A, 10, 10A, 39). 

Trunk line 6A takes you to Tähkä Park 

Tähkä Park dates to the 1530s when King Gustav Vasa designated the area as a recreational space for Turku’s citizens. About half of the park consists of natural meadows and forest trails with boardwalks. Its crown jewel is the rose garden—the largest rosarium in Finland dedicated to historical rose varieties. You can reach the park with several lines, including trunk line 6A and lines 703–706 and 801. The nearest stop is Tähkäpuisto 784. 

To Pomponrahka with lines 8 and 10A 

Pomponrahka is part of Finland’s national mire protection program and is renowned for its rich butterfly population. Over one-third of Finland’s 600 spider species are found here as well. It is easily accessible by buses 8, 10A, and 44. The nearest stop is Kiikku 1041. 

Line 2 takes you to the Forest of Mälikkälä 

The trail network stretches throughout the lush Mälikkälä Forest, where you'll find enchanting woodland landscapes, large and small boulders, mossy rock formations, bubbling streams and a few steep cliffs. You can reach the area by buses 2 and 301–303. The nearest stop is Länsinummi 818. 

To Friskalanlahti with trunkline 5 

Located in Hirvensalo, Friskalanlahti Bay is a protected nature area under Finnish conservation law. It is part of Finland’s national bird habitat protection program and included in the EU’s Natura 2000 network. Known for birdwatching, the bay is home to 50 nesting bird species, which can be observed from a birdwatching tower. Buses 5, 24, 25, and 25A offer smooth access. The nearest stop is Friskalantie 362.
