AKT and JHL participates in large-scale political strikes, which will affect Föli traffic on Wednesday 14 February, Thursday 15 February and the night after Thursday.

On this page, we will provide updates on the impact of the strike on Föli’s services and which tours are operational. Although the strike affects several Föli lines, it is likely that there will still be some departures on almost all lines. Any tours that may be operational will only be known once the number of drivers participating in the strike is known. Information about the departures to be operated will be updated on this page once we know about them and also throughout the whole days of the strike, starting at 04:00 am.

We recommend using other lines during this time, if possible. On Buses on the map (Opens in a new tab) -service (live.foli.fi) you can follow buses in real time to see, if your bus is arriving. The journey planner will not be updated during the strike. Cancelled tours will however be visible on the stop specific timetables on the journey planner, like so on the My stops (Opens in a new tab) -service. We recommend using stop specific timetables during the strike, instead of looking at line timetables. Please note! For lines 2, 2A, 2B, 2C, 2T, 8, 9, 9T, 12, 12T, 13, 13A, 13T, 18, 20, 21, 21A, 21B, 22, 22A, 22B, 22C, 23, 23A, 23B, 32A, 55, 55T, 56, 60, 60T, 61, 61T, 62, 67, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 88, 90, 91, 99, 99A, 99B, 99C, 100, 101, 102, 220, 221, 300, 301, 302, 303, 401, 402, 413, 612, 614, 615, 700-709, 801, 901-903, L1-L11, L13, N1, N2, N3, N6-N13, V1, V2, V3, V4, V5, 28, 33, 34 and 82 cancelled shifts during the strike will not update to journey planner or My stops service.

Read more here (Opens in a new tab) about how you can check if the bus is coming during strikes.

The strike affects Wednesday, Thursday and the night between Thursday and Friday. All traffic will return to normal on Friday morning 16 February.

We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause!

Compensation

Due to the strike being a Force majeure -event, Föli is not liable for reimbursing possible additional fees for customers (e.g., usage of taxi). If, however, after the strike, it is noted that a season ticket holder hasn’t been able to use other forms of public transportation, they may receive compensation on their seasonal ticket. This type of compensation only applies to seasonal tickets and each case is observed individually. Contact Föli customer service for additional information after the strike concludes.
