When will my payment for a ticket be taken off my account? For example, what happens when I buy a 7-day ticket?
Any payments made during the day are processed around midnight. A one-day ticket’s travel period ends at 4 am. When using contactless payment, a single ticket costs 3,15 euros and includes a 2-hour right of transfer. However, the final price is determined by the number of purchases and journeys, and that way passengers always get the cheapest tickets possible. For example, if a passenger buys a third single ticket within the same day (normal price 3 x €3,15 = €9,45), the ticket turns into a one-day ticket (€8,30). Similarly, if the passenger only uses two of the tickets during the first day, they will be charged €6,30 the following night (two 3,15-euro single tickets).
Ticket payments are charged to a passenger’s account according to how much they have travelled. After four days of travel (four 8,30-euro day tickets = €33,20), the price of a 7-day ticket (€27) will have been exceeded. At this point, the ticket turns into a 7-day ticket and any subsequent journeys made until the seven days are up are free.
If a travel card has insufficient funds, the card may no longer be used to pay for tickets.
