What do I need to know when travelling by bus for the first time?

Get to the bus stop on time and take out your payment instrument before boarding. You can pay with contactless payment, the Föli application, with a travel card or with cash in busses.

Single tickets remain valid for two hours in the entire Föli area and cost €3 for adults and €1.5 for children under 15. With cash payment on the bus tickets for adults are €4, and children under 15 €2.

When the bus arrives, wave your hand clearly so that the driver can see you. When you see that the driver engages the turn signal to stop, you can lower your hand. If it is dark, it is a good idea to use the reflective surface of the travel card sleeve or the screen of your mobile phone, for example, to ensure that the driver sees you in time and can stop safely.

When boarding the bus, you can purchase a printed single ticket from the driver. If you have a mobile ticket or previously purchased single ticket, place the QR under the reader. Travel cards and cards and devices for contactless payment must be placed in front of the reader under the display.

Buses stop automatically at their final stops, such as the Turku city centre. For other stops, you must always press the stop button to indicate that the driver should stop and open the door for you.
