Decision-making
In accordance with the cooperation agreement approved by the municipalities of Turku, Kaarina, Lieto, Naantali, Raisio, Rusko and Paimio public transportation in these municipalities is handled by the Turku City Region’s Public Transport Committee. The Committee’s duty is to act as a competent joint regional public transportation authority under the jurisdiction of the Turku City Council and Board.
The Committee consists of 13 members chosen by the city councils. Turku City Council chooses seven of these members and their personal substitutes, while the city councils of Kaarina, Lieto, Naantali, Raisio, Rusko and Paimio each choose one member and their personal substitute.
