Turku region traffic

Föli has its 10th anniversary 1 July 2024

Celebrate 10 years of smooth travel with us!

Föli traffic started on 1 July 2014 in Turku, Kaarina, Raisio, Naantali, Lieto and Rusko.

Over the past ten years, we have been at the forefront of reforms, such as contactless payments in local traffic and the electrification of vehicles.

Thank you for travelling with Föli!

Travel with Föli to pick sunflowers

Celebrate 10-year-old Föli with us and take the bus to pick sunflowers!

The municipalities in the Föli area have planted sunflower fields for residents to pick free flowers. The flowers are ready to be picked approximately at the turn of August and September.

Sunflower fields:

Raisio:

  • At the intersection of Nesteentie and Itäraitti, across the road from Raseko (Raisio Regional Education and Training Consortium).

Kaarina:

  • At the intersection of Kaarinantie and Verkakaari.
  • In Piikkiö between Rungontie and Vanha Viipurintie (only bloom here in September-October).

Lieto:

  • At the intersection of Kirkkotie and Hämeentie.
  • Vanha Tyllintie 1.

Design a Föli knitting pattern

Föli knitting competition

Design the finest Föli knitting pattern and win a €100 gift card and a knitted piece of their own design, implemented at the City of Turku Employment Services Centre, Työpiste.

To celebrate our 10th anniversary, we will organise a design competition for Föli-themed wool socks, mittens or other knitted clothing.

We are looking for a pattern that in some way reflects Föli or travelling by Föli bus or water bus. Feel free to interpret the theme and implementation as you wish!

Competition period: 10 April – 30 July 2024

Instructions for participation

To participate in the competition, provide a picture or a plan of your knitting work (socks, mittens, scarf, etc.), and a brief written explanation of how the pattern and inspiration for it have come about, by 30 July. You don’t need to be able to knit to participate in the competition!

The pattern must be previously unpublished, and the rights to the publication of its instructions will be handed over to Föli.

The competition work and personal data (name, age, address) will be sent to joukkoliikenne@turku.fi. The subject of the message is "Föli-neulekilpailu” (“Föli knitting competition”).

Prize

The winner will receive a €100 gift card to Föli and a knitted piece of their own design, implemented at the City of Turku Employment Services Centre, Työpiste.

The rights to the competition works are handed over to Föli, and pictures of the works may be published on Föli’s social media channels.

We reserve the right to commission products for Föli's use of the prize-winning design patterns.
