The Turku Region Public Transport Committee is meeting on 14 March 2023. One of the items on the agenda is the outcome of the international BEST study. Föli won the customer satisfaction survey for the third time running.

BEST (Benchmarking in European Service of Public Transport) is a European cooperation network that outs out a questionnaire each year to survey how satisfied residents of their member cities are with public transport in their communities. In 2022 11 cities were involved in the survey: Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Geneva, Bergen, Rotterdam, Trondheim, Tampere, Turku, and Reykjavik.

As in previous years, Föli's result was the best of all cities in the survey. Föli got a satisfaction rating 0f 82 % of all respondents, while the average satisfaction rating for all the other cities was 65 %. Satisfaction was highest among frequent users of Föli services. Among frequent travellers, 90 % were satisfied with Föli..

Turku residents were especially satisfied with the reliability of Föli schedules, travel safety, and travel comfort. Föli did very well in the comparison when residents were asked about the value they got for their money.

The importance of public transport for society is seen as great, with 80 % of Turku respondents believing that increased use of public transport is essential for easing traffic congestion, and for reaching climate goals.
