Mobile ticket - say goodbye to coins!
The mobile ticket app can be downloaded onto the latest Windows, Apple, and Android smart phones.
You can download the app to your own phone from the following address www.turku.fi/mobileticket.
To use the app you must register with the service. But you can buy a single ticket without registration when you use mobile payment.
The app can be used to buy single tickets and tourist tickets. Single tickets include a two hour right of transfer. The validity period of a mobile ticket begins from the time of the order. Mobile tickets are read in buses using the same reader device used to read travel tickets. Simply place your mobile phone under the reader device with the screen facing up. It is the passenger’s responsibility to make sure that the phone has enough battery life to last the entirety of the journey.
Turku Region Public Transport Föli's mobile payment application won the award for best mobile payment application at the Slush event in autumn 2015. The app has been developed by iQ Payments Oy.
Trips can be paid for using the post-payment based Svea-payment system, with a bank or credit card (Visa and MasterCard), with a phone bill issued by the operator or with MobilePay. When paying with a bank or credit card or a phone bill issued by the operator, the customer is charged a payment method surcharge in addition to the normal price of a ticket. For single tickets, the payment method surcharge is €0.20. For tourist products, the surcharge is €0.20 when paying with a bank or credit card and €0.50 when paying with a phone bill issued by the operator. However, no payment method surcharge will be charged for single tickets and short-term tourist products that are paid for using a post-payment based Svea-payment. In other words, a customer who pays using an Svea-payment will only be charged the normal price of ticket, for example €3.00 for a single ticket for an adult and €1.50 for a single ticket for a child.
Ticket-specific travel limits
- A 2 hour single ticket entitles you to a maximum of 6 trips (max. 4 trips/hour)
- A 1 day ticket entitles you to a maximum of 10 trips (max. 5 trips/hour)
- A 2 day ticket entitles you to a maximum of 20 trips (max. 10 trips/day, max. 5 trips/hour)
- A 3 day ticket entitles you to a maximum of 30 trips (max. 10 trips/day, max. 5 trips/hour)
- A 5 day ticket entitles you to a maximum of 50 trips (max. 10 trips/day, max. 5 trips/hour)
- A 7 day ticket entitles you to a maximum of 70 trips (max. 10 trips/day, max. 5 trips/hour)
- A 14 day ticket entitles you to a maximum of 140 trips (max. 10 trips/day, max. 5 trips/hour)
Föli cards can be loaded on mobile
You can load your Föli travel card using your mobile phone. To do so, you will first need to download the free Föli application, which is available on the application stores of all smartphone operating systems. You can use the application to load your Föli value card or purchase season tickets for your card. However, Tupla cards cannot be loaded using the application. If you have a Tupla card, you will have to continue loading the card through the browser-based loading service accessible on your computer.
You can use the application to load €10, €20 or €30 to your value card. The option of purchasing 30-, 90- and 180-day season tickets is initially limited to specific customer groups, and will be gradually enabled for additional customer groups. You can also use the application to extend the duration of your season ticket by 10 days if you're an adult and by 8 days if you're a young person or a student. You can pay for your purchases by invoice or using your debit or credit card.
In order to link the mobile purchases to the right travel card, you will have to enter and save your travel card's number into the application. Your card's unique number can be found on top of the reverse side of the card. The number consists of 19 digits. Please make sure to enter the entire number correctly. If you enter a number that does not correspond to your card but is still recognised by the application, you may end up loading a card owned by another user.
Multi-trip ticket - Get 10 single tickets for the price of 9
You can buy a multi-trip ticket containing 10 single tickets via the Föli mobile app. The 10 Föli single tickets are valid throughout the entire Föli region and feature the standard two-hour right of transfer. The 10-trip multi-ticket is sold for the price of nine single tickets, so users will get one more ticket than if they were to purchase the tickets separately.

A ticket package is valid for three months. Single mobile tickets are not valid during the night fare period, unless the ticket has been activated before 11pm. More than one single mobile ticket may be used at the same time.
