Föli’s water bus service begins operation on 25 May.

Turku region public transport Föli’s water bus service will begin operation a week later than planned, on Monday 25 May 2020. The reason for the delay is the maintenance work of the bigger vessel, m/s Jaarli. The water bus traffic will continue to operate daily until 30 August and on weekends until 20 September.

Two water buses, m/s Jaarli and m/s Ruissalo, will operate from Martinsilta to Kansanpuisto, Ruissalo shipyard and Pikisaari in Hirvensalo.

As the water bus season begins, the water bus trips can be paid for with cash as normal, even though Föli buses do not accept cash for the moment. The water bus can be used with all Föli tickets, so travel cards and mobile tickets can be used to pay for the trip as well.

The children’s play area of m/s Jaarli and the cafés of both water buses are temporarily closed due to the corona virus situation. Other waterbus services remain the same.

Last year, almost 60,000 trips were made on the Föli water buses.
