Wonderful Turku, wonderful. This is simply wonderful. Föli buses will return to Market Square on the last day of October.

A number of years ago, Föli’s passengers were faced with major changes when the start of renovation work meant that buses had to be rerouted from their normal stops in Market Square. The lengthy renovation work has finally been completed, and the Föli buses will return to their more accessible locations in Market Square on 31 October 2022. Most of the stops are located within one block of the Aurakatu and Eerikinkatu junction, but stops will continue to located also on Linnankatu.

The new Market Square stops have been designed for the trunk line network, which will be introduced in 2025. In the trunk line network, it is mostly only the trunk lines that run to the centre, while the other lines that run to the centre of Turku terminate at Puutori or the bus station. There are far fewer stops in the city centre than before, which is why some services are now remaining in Puutori.

To help people navigate the new layout, Föli will be organising guided tours of the Market Square stops. These will be held on Monday 31 October and, if needed, also on the following days. Our social media team will also be on call during the first days after the change.
